A Changed Earth (Extra Credit)
A few things have changed since I did my footprint. Since then I haven't been on the bus. I have just been walking to class everyday and not relying on a car to get there. Which was one of the big factors in how many earths I used. I've only filled the trash can in my room up three times which has lowered the amount of trash I dump. I have been eating more vegetables but I still have been eating packaged meat. It was already paid for and I don't have the money to buy the healthier stuff. One major part of my footprint was my power usage. I use a lot of power and I suggested unplugging things that I wasn't using at the time; but things didn't work out either because I forgot to unplug them or didn't feel like doing it at the time. But other than that I think my footprint would have gone down by at least one earth, I hope. In the fall I will hopefully be able to make some time to do some community work which we'll most likely involve improving the earth.

Do you Live Under a Rock?
There are a lot of commercials out there, but even with all of them i'm sure you've seen many Geico commercials. Most of them have the lizard or the guy asking you a question that you've heard before then flashes to a clip of that saying. This particular one made me laugh and it kind of made me want have some of their insurance. http://youtu.be/rCFMDLakxaY
The purpose of the commercial is to make people who haven't heard of their insurance savings feel like they've been missing out.The audience is everyone who doesn't have their insurance. The product can be sold to anyone over the age of 18 that needs it.

Overuse
To me a global footprint is what we as people do that effects the earth. Like truck drivers give off gases that hurt our atmosphere, or companies that dump waste into the ocean. My lifestyle would take 6 earths, 25.3 global acres, and 27.3 tons of carbon to support it. I was shocked that my actions alone were effecting the earth that much to where it would take so much to keep it going. I've been thinking about ways that i could reduce my output and i think the best way i could would be to unplug things when i'm not using them. I leave all my plugs in and never take them out unless i go somewhere and this is using up a lot of electricity. This shouldn't be to hard to do and it hopefully some good will come from it.
