Overuse

To me a global  footprint is what we as people do that effects the earth. Like truck drivers give off gases that hurt our atmosphere, or companies that dump waste into the ocean. My lifestyle would take 6 earths, 25.3 global acres, and 27.3 tons of carbon to support it. I was shocked that my actions alone were effecting the earth that much to where it would take so much to keep it going. I've been thinking about ways that i could reduce my output and i think the best way i could would be to unplug things when i'm not using them. I leave all my plugs in and never take them out unless i go somewhere and this is using up a lot of electricity. This shouldn't be to hard to do and it hopefully some good will come from it.

  1. I know what you mean with the plugs! I need to get better with that also.

  3. Unplugging things when you're not using them is a great way to reduce your footprint. It can also serve as a sure way to prevent things like power surges which can damage your electronics.
