Big Five Seminar/ Anti Bullying (extra credit)

I went to the Life Safari seminar and i was shocked to see how many people showed up to the event. I walked into the ballroom and took my seat. After a few minutes the author of Life Safari, John Strelecky came up on stage and gave his opening speech and told us a little about his life and how he started writing. Then he showed us a few videos one was a video clip of a comedian/ motivational speaker. He was talking to a group of kids about not giving up on things; this man had no arms and no legs and he got on his stomach and said "Now it looks like i can get up right? But i'm not going to give up." So he proceeded to get back up and it was just one of those moments when you feel like, if he can still have hope in his situation then why can't I. The next video was clip of the Oprah Winfrey show, followed by a video of a man that wanted to travel around the world so he did and he recorded videos of him dancing in every place and soon after Stride gum started to play him to continue to do his traveling. This video lead to him talking about our big five for life; this man just went out to try and complete one of his big five and ended up getting payed to do it. He told us to just try to complete your goals and you never know what might come from it. So next he had us to talk to the person next to us and tell them what are big five for life are then we had to tell one other person we didn't know what are big five were. He told us that you never know what could happen just by telling someone what your big five for life are the person you tell my just be able to help you complete that goal. After our activity he made a closing speech then he signed autographs for many of the people there and he gave out two books, The Why Cafe, and How to be Rich and Happy. At the end i had the chance to talk to him and i told him that his book was good and it reminded of a book that i read a long time ago called the secret, he told me that he had also read that book and thanked me for saying his book was good then we shook hands and i left.

Also on one of the last days of comp class i was thinking about what we would be doing that day and when i walked in i just know that it wasn't going to be a normal day because there were to girls standing at the  front of the classroom. When we sat down they said that they were part of an anti bullying program and that we were going to do some activities that have to do with the program. So they moved the tables and put a piece of tape on the ground and told us that they were going to ask us question and if there related to us then we can stand on the line. So they asked and we did it after that asked us to write something nice about everyone in the class and i must say i wrote the nicest things about everyone. Once that was over Elisa brought out pie for everyone then all the girls started to cry and eat, but not me cause i'm a man but it was still a good class and i enjoyed the activities and i enjoyed the time i spent with everyone in that classroom and i'll never forget it.
